By accessing or using ScholarConnect ("Platform", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time with notice posted on the Platform.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ScholarConnect. Use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
ScholarConnect is an academic writing marketplace that connects clients (students) with qualified freelance writers. The Platform facilitates the posting of writing assignments, writer qualification, order management, secure payments, anonymous communication, and dispute resolution.
ScholarConnect is a facilitation platform only. We do not author, review, or guarantee the quality of academic work produced by writers, except through our quality assurance processes (plagiarism check, writer vetting).
Order Placement: Clients may post academic writing assignments specifying pages (1–100), subject, academic level, deadline, and detailed instructions.
Pricing: Standard orders (deadline ≥5 days) are priced at $10 per page. Urgent orders (deadline <5 days) are priced at $15 per page. These rates may be adjusted by the Platform at any time for new orders.
Deposit: A 50% deposit of the total order value is required upfront. This deposit is held in escrow until order completion. The remaining 50% is released upon client approval.
Revisions: Clients are entitled to up to 2 free revisions per order. Additional revisions may incur additional charges at the Platform's discretion.
Auto-Approval: If a client does not review, approve, dispute, or request revision within 72 hours of delivery, the order is automatically marked as complete and payment released to the writer.
Refunds: Refunds are issued only in cases of non-delivery, verified fraud, or at admin discretion following dispute resolution. The deposit is non-refundable once a writer has been assigned and has begun work, except in dispute outcomes favorable to the client.
Qualification Requirements: All writers must:
Earnings: Writers earn a fixed rate of $4 per page regardless of the client pricing (standard or urgent). Payment is released from escrow after client approval or 72-hour auto-approval.
Maximum Active Orders: Writers may not have more than 3 active orders simultaneously to ensure quality delivery.
Plagiarism: All submitted work must be original. Work with plagiarism scores below 85% original content may be rejected and the writer may face account suspension.
Deadlines: Writers are responsible for meeting agreed deadlines. Consistent failure to deliver on time may result in account suspension or permanent banning.
Withdrawals: Minimum withdrawal is $20. Withdrawals are processed via PayPal, M-Pesa, or Bank Transfer within 48 business hours of admin approval.
All client payments are held in a secure escrow system and are not transferred to writers until the order is completed and approved. Accepted payment methods include:
The Platform retains the difference between client pricing and writer payout as its service fee. This fee covers platform operations, payment processing, quality assurance, and support.

The following conduct is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination:
If a client is unsatisfied with delivered work and revisions have not resolved the issue, they may file a formal dispute within 72 hours of delivery (before the auto-approval period expires).
Upon dispute filing, an administrator will review the complete order, chat history, all files, and make a binding decision within 24–48 hours. Possible outcomes include full refund, partial refund, or release of payment to the writer.
Both parties agree to accept the administrator's decision as final and binding.
Upon full payment and order completion, all rights to the delivered work are transferred to the client. Writers warrant that work is original, does not infringe third-party rights, and that they hold the right to transfer ownership.
ScholarConnect provides the Platform "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Platform, including but not limited to academic consequences, loss of data, or financial losses beyond the order value.
Our total liability to any user shall not exceed the total amount paid by that user in the 3 months preceding the claim.
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account at our discretion for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or conduct detrimental to other users or the Platform.
